Shopping & Outfits

I've been shopping like a madwoman because things between me and my ex are still really bad.

I actually just bought these sandals while I was on the phone with him because it was a very bad conversation

I think the beige matches my Alexander Wang Rocco
I would wear these with this one piece jumpsuit I bought from Aritzia
I'll tell you more about it below

I was feeling depressed one day and so I decided to go to the mall for some more retail therapy. I wasn't planning on buying much... initially.

First I went to Zara and bought some jeans. I tried on a bunch of jeans that I bought last summer and none of them fit me anymore because they're too big. I still haven't been eating much lately so I lost a shit load of weight and now none of my stupid bottoms fit! Piss me off

Bought these army green cargo pants. They're very stretchy and comfortable.

I was thinking of putting together an outfit like this

I ended up wearing it like this for dinner with a girlfriend

Cardigan - Old Navy
Tank top - Aritzia
Pants - Zara
Bag - Gucci
Bracelets - Pandora
Necklace - Tiffany
Flats - Marc by Marc Jacobs

I couldn't decide between my Ferragamo or MBMJ ones at first
I played it safe and stuck with black

I also bought these grey distressed skinny jeans
But I ended up returning them because I have so many grey pairs of jeans at home

Then I decided to stop by Aritzia to do more retail therapy

In love with this maxi skirt. I bought a bralette to wear on top.

A flowy tank top to go with the pattern shorts below

The jumpsuit I was talking about earlier

The bralette

The shorts

Bought another white tank top because the one I already had is old and looks beat
These tank tops are my fave. I buy these in medium

After Aritzia I went to Sephora

Fresh soy face cleanser
So gentle on the face and it also removes your eye makeup. I use mine with my Clarisonic.

Ole Henriksen truth serum
I use this with the matching face oil. Worth the $$$

Marc Jacobs genius gel foundation
I told the girl that I wanted foundation that wasn't too heavy because I hate the feeling of foundation on my face. This Marc Jacobs one is more like of a gel and it has awesome coverage. Feels super light. I had to go back and exchange this though because the girl at Sephora chose the wrong shade for my face. Made me look retarded.

Estee Lauder double wear concealer
My gf told me to buy this concealer and it's the best one I've used so far. Very good coverage. Just dab a little on and then use the Sephora brand concealer airbrush (pictured to the right of it) to gently blend it and you will look flawless. I had to exchange the shade of this too.

Sephora pro airbrush concealer brush
When I went back the second day to exchange my foundation and concealer shade, I ended up buying Anastasia eyebrow promade. It's a gel brow filler.

I also bought a Marc Jacobs foundation brush because it received really good reviews online. It was really expensive though and is probably overpriced lol

Marc Jacobs the face I liquid foundation brush

I also went back to Aritzia and bought this tank top to  match a pair of slacks I bought from Zara a few weeks prior.

Zara drawstring loose fit trousers

I also bought this blazer because this is one of the only blazers that I have tried on and actually liked

Zara blazer with turn up sleeve

I bought this Voluspa french bourbon oil diffuser for my room
It smells SOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD!!
The Chapters near my house was sold out so I ordered it online

An outfit I wore to a really stressful doctors appointment
It was a depressing day >.<
Kind of look likes the outfit that I posted above

Cardigan - Old Navy
Tank top - Aritzia
Boyfriend jeans - Rag and Bone for Aritzia
Bag - Louis Vuitton neverfull MM
Bracelets - Pandora
Sandals - Dolce Vita

A lazy outfit that I wore when I helped my ex-boyfriend with errands

Hat - J Lindeberg
Beater - Aritzia
Crop pants - Pink by Victoria Secret
Shoes - Converse (not shown)
Bag - Longchamp (it's sitting on my bed)

A lame work outfit lol

This is from at least 1.5 months ago I just forgot to post it

Cape - Aritzia
T shirt - J Crew
Boyfriend jeans - Rag and Bone for Aritzia
Bag - Gucci
Sunglasses - Tom Ford
Bracelet - Pandora

I bought this off the shoulder sweater off of Etsy for only $30
It says "More issues than Vogue"
Very true. I have major issues. Shopping ones.

I have also finally bought myself an e-reader! So excited to get this in the mail because I love reading. I couldn't decided between a Kobo reader (from Chapters) or a Kindle (from Amazon). I spent a lot of time reading reviews for both and I ended up deciding on the new Kindle Paperwhite reader. It just seemed like the Kobo froze a lot when flipping pages, and Chapters/Indigo gave very poor costumer service. I read a lot of stories of them accusing costumers of dropping their e-books which meant it was not longer covered in the warranty. Plus, Amazon offers a wider selection of e-books.
I bought a pink leather case for my e-reader because pink is always better

I'm back from the dead :P

Hey everyone! Sorry I haven't posted anything in like two months lol. I started my nursing preceptorship in August and then I guess it made me super drained and lazy! The nursing preceptorship is pretty much the last stretch of the nursing program. You are paired up with someone who is already a registered nurse and you work the same shifts as them at whatever ward they are on. They act like your mentor and help you become independent. Preceptorship can be scary for some nursing students because some of them end up failing because they are either not confident on the floor, they are unable to time manage, or they just end up having a bad relationship with their preceptor.

Lucky for me... both of my preceptors were awesome!!

And..........

I GRADUATED FROM NURSING SCHOOL LAST FRIDAY!
WOOHOO!

I just have to write my nursing exam in February in order to be a full on registered nurse. I haven't started studying yet but I'm not worried because I have lots of time :P

Lots has happened during the time where I've ignored my blog so I'll have to summarize everything in point form. I'll try to go in order lol.

1. I'm still single...

and it's been so much fun!! I was planning to keep my options open and savor the single life but now I've actually fallen for this one boy :D He's not my boyfriend but we both said we would be "exclusive". Breaking up with my ex was one of the smartest things I've done.

2. However...

this other boy who likes me (let's call him A) took me out to the mall sometime two months ago because he wanted to go shopping at Harry Rosen. He ended up spending $5000 on himself (and I thought I had a shopping problem) but he also bought me a pair of flats because he broke one of my watches another time before. I chose Salvatore Ferragamo ones from Holt Renfrew.

Salvatore Ferragamo My Paris Snake Print Flats

These were $350 ish Canadian at Holt Renfrew but online it says they are only $250? What a ripoff!

3. I've been buying a lot of clothes from Zara lately.

Isn't this shirt so hot? I can't wear a bra with it so I put sticky tape on my boobs lol.
I ended up buyin the leggings in the picture too. I got them in an xs because they had no smalls left. Now I wish I waited for a small because I feel like they are too short on me (I'm 5'7)

One of my fave sweaters because it's covered in sequins.
Only problem is that it snags like crazy.

Bought this sweater but in light grey. It's mohair so I find it itchy and uncomfortable at times to wear. But whatever... looking good doesn't always mean you are comfortable! I purchased this one online and they only offered it in a size medium.

Bought these camo pants in size 4 but had to exchange them because they were huge!! I always think I am bigger than I actually am lol. I exchanged the pants for a size 2 and they fit a lot better. They have a bit of stretch to them which is nice. Not comfortable wearing them though.

4. It was my niece's 3rd birthday in November. She's such a spoiled little princess!

Rayelle throughout the years <3

Rayelle about to head to the aquarium for her birthday with her momma while I'm about to head to the lab to get a chest x-ray done (I was sick A LOT during my preceptorship)

I spent 2 hours building this fricken dollhouse mansion for her...

Isn't she so adorable :D
She's part Filipino, Chinese, and Syrian

4. I guess that leads me to my next point... I was sick for SOOO LONG during the past 2 months!

First my throat really hurt, then it became itchy, then my nose became runny and I couldn't stop coughing. I went to the doctor and she told me that I had pneumonia in my right lung so I was given antibiotics. Even after I finished those I was STILL sick so I went back to the doctor after a week or two and was given a puffer. They sent me to get a chest x-ray done which came back clear. So back to the doctor I went and it turns out... that I have allergies! Jesus Christ :( I still need to get an allergy test done...

Wearing my Kenzo sweater and Lacoste hat while I do homework at some bubbletea place.

Another sick day. Wearing a Canucks hat, Coco & Yves sweater, and my Tom Ford shades

Waiting at the doctors. Wearing my Jimmy Choo Ugg boots and using my Alexander Wang Rocco.

5. So yeah... I bought Tom Ford aviators.

I also bought new Burberry eyeglasses the same day (YIKES). I was honestly just walking around the mall not planning on buying anything when I decided to just "browse" through one of the eyeglass stores. BAD IDEA!! I left that store $800 broker!

6. I went out one night to party with some girlfriends.

We were celebrating one of my best friend's 10 years of being single LOL. It was also the guy who I'm dating's birthday and we ran into him at this venue downtown. Morgan Page was playing (one of my fave djs!)

Shoes - Zigi

I wore this outfit with my black Chanel bag and some other accessories
I had like 10 different people tell me that these were "f*ck me" boots lmao

7. I also went to Seattle another weekend to shop and party. The guy who I'm seeing took me :D

So drunk and trying to kiss this pig :S

It was such a neat experience!

These walls are covered in bubblegum!!!

Bought these Sam Edelman mocassins from Nordstrom Rack for ONLY $24 USD!

I also bought a Splendid blouse for $40 USD but I'm too lazy to take a picture of it right now

8. Here are some work-related pictures that I took during the past 2 months

One of my patients' sons gave me his phone number lol so embarassing

This is the thank you gift I made for my first preceptor. She loves pink so I bought a Starbucks mug for her and decorated it with pink glitter!! Super easy to do I got the idea from Pinterest.
